Part Four
Capper Central
Tolstoy was on the ground. His hands clutched his head. Deadlyringer's telepathic power was strong, Tolstoy tried his best to resist. Deadlyringer stood over him fighting hard to get the Technican under his control.
"You.....can...not.......win." Tolstoy said, realizing that in fighting the telepathy, he was beginning to sound a little like William Shatner.
Deadlyringer sighed, sounded like typical hero talk to him. "You can either surrender to my power," he said, then added with a shrug "or I could kill you."
Tolstoy tried to make a comment, but he collapsed from exhaustion. Deadlyringer's power had been too much for him. Deadlyringer looked at Tolstoy's body for a few seconds.
"Or, you could wear yourself out, and I'll take care of you after I take care of the rest."
He walked out of Tolstoy's office and heard a commotion from down the hall.
"Ah," he said, "I see they found Keogh............nope, they lost him."
Another commotion came from the other end of the hall.
"Ah ha. Opus1432. Now, she is a menace we need to get rid of."
He walked towards that commotion while at the other end, the Cappers under his power searched for Keogh. In Tolstoys office, Keogh knelt down at Tolstoy's body and felt for a pulse.
"Well, you're alive" he said, "hope somebody finds Medusa."
The Lower Levels of Capper Central, near the detention area
Edgar sniffed the air. So far, none of the other Cappers were after him, probably because the animals weren't important at present. He heard a noise from behind him, he spun around and saw Hodgson running up to him.
The two conversed with one another, in Animal Talk. Then Edgar walked on down the hallway, with Hodgson running beside him, willing to help out his new friend.
Edgar stopped and sniffed the air, again. Essence of Midnight Passion, a gift that his master, The Gray Zombie, gave to Medusa as a gift. They were close to where Medusa was being held.
Upper Levels of Capper Central
Opus ran down the hallway, several laser beams zipped past her, narrowly missing her. Deadlyringer and the Cappers under his control were chasing her. And it was evident that Deadlyringer wanted her dead.
Oh no, Opus thought we couldn't go after Animebabe or DanZero or anyone else. Noooo, we gotta go after the Capper from 2045. She's the menace to the master plan.
She continued running down the hall. Heading towards the control center. Hopefully, Hobbes will be able to help her.
Animebabe turned around the corner ahead of her.
"Oh Shinola." Anime said, "Don't tell me that their behind you as well?"
"Ha. I'm lucky, I've got the one and only Deadlyringer coming after me." Opus replied
Animebabe and Opus ran into the control room. ABServo, DevilDoll, and DanZero were already in the room.
"Where's Dibbley" asked Dan
Hobbes responded, "I'm afraid that Deadlyringer caught him off guard."
"Hobbes," Animebabe said, "Close the doors, now"
The doors to the control room slid closed. The sound of the doors locking were heard, followed by the pounding of Cappers trying to get in.
" You think that'll hold them?" DevilDoll asked
As if to respond, one set of doors were slowly being forced open. Deadlyringer's telekinetic abilities at work.
"You had to ask, didn't you?" ABServo asked
The doors fully came open and Deadlyringer walked through. The Cappers under his control stayed outside.
"I've come for Opus." He said
"Opus" Hobbes said, "coordinates set. Go!"
Opus clicked her wristband and teleported out. Deadlyringer yelled out in fury. Suddenly the room went dark, and a few lights came back on.
"Emergency shutdown beginning." was all that Hobbes said before his screen went blank.
"HA!" DanZero yelled "How's that, Deadlyringer? Hobbes shut down. That means that there's only two hours of life support left in Capper Central. You failed in taking over our base."
Deadlyringer laughed, "I'm not trying to take over the base, I'm trying to kill you."
DanZero's victory smile vanished, "Crap."
Animebabe smirked, "You still lost. You can't leave here without Hobbes being on. Surely, the Kortac can't reach you in time, they have no idea where Capper Central is located."

Animebabe continued, "And you know what? Only I know how to reactivate the teleportation device."
DanZero and ABServo ran to another door and turned the manual control. The doors slid open and the Cappers ran out.
Deadlyringer turned to the control Cappers, "Well, don't just stand there, let's get them."
Detention Level
After the lights dimmed, Medusa checked to see if the force shield was holding, unfortunately for her, it was. She heard a noise coming from up the hall and was pleased to see Edgar and Hodgson coming around the corner.
"Edgar." she said, "Get me out of here. Please."
Edgar looked around, being an alligator, he wasn't able to work the controls to the detention cell. Hodgson sniffed around and found Medusa's wrist band that Deadlyringer tossed aside. He dragged it over to Edgar. Edgar looked at it, then, with his tail, tossed the wristband in the air. Then, with his tail, he hit the communicator which smashed into the controls. The communicator shorted out the system, dropping the force shield.
Medusa ran out and hugged both Edgar and Hodgson. "I may be a cat person, but you two are the best."
Both animals gleamed with pride. Then the three of them ran up the hall, heading to the upper levels.
Cafeteria
Animebabe, DanZero, ABServo, and DevilDoll ran into the cafeteria and found Keogh and Tolstoy, who was suffering from a headache. They all turned around and found that all Cappers that were under Deadlyringers control were blocking the exits. Deadlyringer stepped into the room and gave an evil smile.
"Now," he said, "Tell me how to reactivate the teleporters."
Animebabe glared at him, "I'm not telling you anything."
Animebabe was then flying through the air, and hit the wall, hard. Deadlyringer smiled. The others tried to help her, but their comrades under Deadlyringer's control held them back. Animebabe flew across the room and hit the other wall.
"Anime," Deadlyringer said, "I'm going to ask you again. How do I reactivate the teleporters?"
The reply came, not from Animebabe, but from behind Deadlyringer, "The teleporters work even though Hobbes has been deactivated. Every Capper knows that."
Deadlyringer turned slowly around and came face to face with The Gray Zombie. Behind Gray, GlitterRock, Amon, JoeCrow, Moon Queen, and Opus stood weapons ready. Opus stuck her tongue at Deadlyringer.
"Deadly," Gray said, "Opus tells me that your behavior has been somewhat unbecoming of a Capper."
Deadlyringer sneered, "You may be able to resist my telepathic ability, but I can do to you what I did to Animebabe with my telekinesis."
Deadlyringer stared at Gray. Nothing happened. He stared at Gray again. Still nothing.
"Are you immuned to my powers?" Deadlyringer asked
"No," Gray replied, "But she is."
Deadlyringer turned and saw Medusa standing at one of the doorways. Edgar and Hodgson both growled at Deadlyringer. Medusa winked at Deadlyringer. All Cappers were slowly coming out of Deadyringers control. Deadlyringer turned and started to look for an escape route. He was stopped by Animebabe.
"Oh, D.R., you can't leave." Animebabe said, blood trickling down her mouth, "It's time for the last dance."
She then punched Deadlyringer. Deadlyringer stumbled back. He tried to hit the button on his writst band to teleport out. A swift kick from Animebabe towards his wristband stopped that action, as sparks flew from the band. She then gave Deadlyringer a left cross. Followed by a right hook. Then an uppercut. Deadlyringer finally got far enough out of her reach to where he thought he could escape. Moon Queen punched Deadlyringer. Deadlyringer fell to the ground, out cold. Gray looked over at Moon Queen
"Hey, when was I going to get the chance" She asked
Gray shook his head then turned to JoeCrow, "Book him, Danno."
JoeCrow placed a headband around Deadlyringer's head. Tolstoy looked at the headband then up to Gray Zombie.
"From the Arcetranans," Gray explained, "It neutralizes psionic powers. This way, our very own screamer doesn't have to accompany the authorities when they take Deadlyringer away."
"Hey," DanZero said, "Can we turn Hobbes back on before we suffocate?"
Tolstoy shrugged, "Yes, I guess we can do that."
"Well, gee, don't do me no favors or anything."
Capper Central, Later
The High Exalted Zioxen shook hands with Tolstoy. Everything was pretty much back to normal, aside from the headaches.
"Thank you High Exalted One" Tolstoy said, "For not only the fighters, but for the device we used to subdue Deadlyringer's powers."
Zioxen bowed, "As Gray Zombie would say, It ain't nothing but a thing."
Tolstoy turned to Gray, "Spreading a little of your own version of humanity, Gray?"
Gray shrugged. Medusa walked into the control room, then punched Gray in the arm, hard.
"Screamer." She said, "I'll give you something to scream about."
Tolstoy spoke up, quickly changing the subject, "I must warn you and your men, High Exalted One, Deadlyringer tends to talk a lot."
"Oh, don't worry about that." Gray said, "we took care of that."
The Arcetranan guards walked into the room pulling a huge glass case. Inside the case, Deadlyringer pounded on the glass yelling, fortunately no one was able to hear him.
"Hey, Deadlyringer." JoeCrow said, "You behave yourself."
Deadlyringer yelled at Joe. No sound came out.
"Well, if it's your intention to be someone's bitch in prison, Ok."
The guards continued to take the glass case out. The High Exalted One bowed to Tolstoy and The Cappers and left with the guards.
"Well," Hobbes said, "That's one person that I'm not going to miss."
Tolstoy smiled, "I'm glad that the Kortac were unsuccessful in carrying out their evil plan. Now, things at Capper Central can get back to normal."
DanZero walked into the control room, wearing only one shoe. He glared at Gray and held up what was left of the other shoe.
"Gray Zombie, look what your alligator did to my shoe."
"Oh yes," Tolstoy sighed, "Everything can get back to normal."
