Part Three
The dimensional world of Arcetrana
An explosion caused debris to fly near where The Gray Zombie had ran for cover. He looked up at the Kortac fighters flying over head. The Arcetranan fighters flew by firing at the enemy. Several bombs fell nearby none of which hit anyone or anything of importance. Gray quickly spoke into his communicator.
"Listen, Hobbes, now is not a good time to talk. We've under attack from the Kortac. I guess they're still pissed at the Arcetranans for preventing the Kortac invasion on this world." he said.
"I understand, Gray." Hobbes replied "I will try to contacting you later. It will be on a secure channel, so please don't try to return this call."
"Gotcha. Talk at you soon."
Gray clicked off his communicator and looked around. Amon and JoeCrow were busy firing at enemy fighters flying by. GlitterRock was in one of the Cappers new fighters, helping the Arcetranan force. Moon Queen was protecting a group of Arcetranan children. She didn't notice the top of the wall behind her, falling down towards her. Gray noticed.
"MOON!" Gray shouted. He knew it was too late to do anything. A bad feeling ran through his body, but she was never crushed.
Moon Queen looked at Gray and then up, the chunk of the wall was just inches above her, not moving. It just hovered there.
"Please," she heard a voice say, she looked over and saw an Arcetranan standing to her left, "move out from under the debris, I don't know how long I can hold it."
Moon Queen and the children moved over to the side, the Arcetranan then took a deep breath and then let it out. The debris fell to the ground where Moon Queen and the children were standing.
"DAY-YUM." cursed The Gray Zombie
"GZ" Moon Queen said "Not in front of the children."
Gray apologized then turned to the stranger. "So, I take it that you have psionic abilities?"
"Yes," the Arcetranan replied, "I'm a telekinetic."
A woman walked up and stood next to the man, the man smiled. Gray and Moon Queen looked around, the fighting had stopped. JoeCrow and Amon ran over to the two. Gray turned back to the man.
"Hey, if you don't mind, would you lift the debris, again?" Gray requested
"I can't." The telekinetic replied
"Why not?"
"My wife is here." Then he and his wife walked off.
"What?" Moon Queen asked "His wife doesn't know that he's a telekinetic?"
Gray Zombie watched the couple, then realized what the deal was, "She neutralizes his powers."
"Really?" Amon asked, "Any chance on us getting a couple of people like that to take back to Capper Central?"
"I'm not sure, but I think we can ask His High Exalted One if it's possible."
Capper Central
DanZero lurked around the hallway of the female cappers quarters. He looked back and forth, then tip toed up a few feet, then stepped back two.
"Dan," Hobbes asked from a nearby computer panel, "what are you doing?"
"Ummmm, nothing. I think....."
"Oh brother. You're not well are you?"
"I'm fine. I just need to.....I need to......do something"
"Yes, I know. And I bet that Deadlyringer has something to do with it."
DanZero scratched his head, "Hobbes, have you ever been told to do something that you didn't want to do?"
"Yes, and I don't do it. Logic usually dictates my decision."
DanZero nodded, "You're right. I'm not going to do it." He turned around and then turned back around again, "I have to do it....but I can't...but I must......"
MedusaD walked out of her quarters, DanZero quickly pulled out his laser rifle and aimed it at her.
"Ok," he said, "maybe I will....."
Medusa looked at Dan. She knew how well of a shot DanZero was, having achieved high scores in House of Dead II. Running was not an option.
"Dan," she said, "Why are you doing this?"
Dan kept the rifle aimed at her, although his arms were trembling, "I don't want to......but I have to....D, I have to kill you, I'm sorry. Don't come any closer, because......I don't know, Deadlyringer said you can't come close to me."
"Dan, you can't do this. It's not like you. We only kill Kortac, remember?"
"Yea, I'm going to kill more Kortac...after I...."
A low growl came from below Dan. He looked down to see an alligator staring up at him. Dan jumped back. He then aimed down at the alligator. He didn't see Medusa run closer to him. She then did the only thing that seemed like a good idea, she punched him. Dan fell to the ground, out cold.
Opus came running up the hallway and saw Dan lying on the ground. She looked at Medusa, who was rubbing her hand.
"I figured since animals seemed to be immune to Deadlyringers telepathy, maybe it would be a good idea to bring Edgar in on things." Opus explained.
Medusa knelt down and patted Edgar on the head. Edgar rubbed against her like a cat. She could of sworn she heard him purring.
"He was a big help in this case," Medusa said, "saved my life."
DanZero slowly woke up and looked over at Medusa.
"Was I about to kill you?" he asked.
Medusa nodded.
"Oh, man. What was I thinking?"
"It wasn't you, Dan. It was Deadlyringer. He planted the thought in your head. You were fighting it, but you almost lost to him."
DanZero slowly got up. "I'm sorry, D. Where did the alligator come from?"
Opus looked at Dan, "That's Edgar."
"Sorry for pointing my gun at you, Edgar."
Edgar rubbed against DanZero's leg, to let him know that it was ok.
Hobbes' voice came through the computer panel again.
"To the archives." he said, "I'm going to contact Gray, again."
Library Archives, Level Seven
Animebabe, Dibbley, MedusaD, DanZero, Keogh, ABServo, DevilDoll, and Opus sat at the table. On the floor, Hodgson and Edgar were curled up together sleeping. They sat, looking at a communicator from which they heard Gray Zombie chuckling. They had explained everything to him, especially the part about Medusa being immuned to Deadly's psionic powers.
"What is so funny?" Dan asked
"Yea," DevilDoll agreed, "Enlighten us. Why are you chuckling?"
Gray's voice came over the communicator, "It's about Medusa."
Medusa's eyes narrowed, "Really, what about me?"
"You're not immuned to Deadlyringer's psionic powers, you neutralize his powers whenever you're near him."
"And why is that funny?"
"Because the slang term used to describe people such as yourself is 'Screamers'"
JoeCrow's voice was heard over the communicator, "As in Screaming Reamer?"
Then GlitterRock's laughter was heard. Around the table the others started to chuckle, except Medusa who frowned at the others.
"Gray," Hobbes said, "I'm afraid that we're going to cut this meeting short."
"Ok," Gray said, "Medusa has the ability to snap everyone out from under DR's telepathic powers. This makes her the most important member of the team."
Keogh nodded, at least everyone thought Keogh nodded, "Agreed, protect Medusa, or die trying."
"Gray," Animebabe asked, "What about the animals? They're immuned, right?"
"Yea, and Edgar will help out."
Hobbes interrupted, "Sorry, but the transmission must end now. I'm afraid we may of had some unwanted listeners."
"Great," Dibbley said, "which means we don't have much time."
A muffled scream was heard. Everyone turned to find Deadlyringer, who teleported in, with one arm around Medusa and the others hand over her mouth. He quickly teleported out.
"D!" DanZero called out, "Hobbes, are they still on base?"
"Yes, Dan. And I'm afraid we have company coming down here. BuckFifty, CyberBeast, SpydieGirl, Rizzz...oh dear, twelve of them. Quickly teleport out."
Animebabe picked up Hodgson and teleported out. The rest did the same. Opus turned to Edgar who was about to head out to stop the twelve Cappers.
"Edgar, no" Opus said, "Go out the other way and find Medusa. You hear me? Go find Medusa."
Edgar looked at Opus and then scampered out the other exit. Opus then teleported out.
Detention Level 154
Medusa was placed in a detention cell, the force shield holding her in. Deadlyringer stood outside smiling at her.
"You know," she said "I wonder how big of a smile you're going to have without any FARKING TEETH."
"My, you are so beautiful when you're angry." Deadlyringer said, tossing her wristband off to the side. He then went to the control panel to the cell and stared at it. A few sparks flew from it. He looked over at her with another smile. "I've found out I'm also an Electrokinetic. I'll fry that annoying Hobbes after I kill off all the Cappers."
"Why? What have we done to you?"
"Done? You've insulted me. You've belittled me. You wouldn't record Bionic Woman for me. Because of you Cappers, I'll never meet Lindsay Wagner. And for that, you will all die. I'll be back for you later."
Deadlyringer skipped down the hallway. MedusaD let out a low whistle.
"That boy is off his fripping nuts." she said. In the far off distance of Capper Central, she heard laser fire. "Hobbes, can you hear me?"
No answer. Deadlyringer knocked out all communication in the detention level.
"Damn. Looks like the Cappers are as doomed as doom can be, I must say."

(Gray and the others return. Edgar finds Medusa. And it'll all be ok at the end)
